Dr. Beau “Mack” Makarewicz, DC is a chiropractic physician that has earned a reputation for integrity and dedication to his patients. He believes that chiropractic care can be very effective when utilizing evidence based protocols and timely treatment plans. Dr. Makarewicz has created a personal and friendly atmosphere and works with other healthcare providers in order to provide the best possible results.
Dr. Makarewicz has undergone a rigorous and intensive education and he is committed to life long learning.
He attended Michigan State University and earned a Bachelors degree in Human Physiology after successfully completing pre-medical studies through the College of Natural Science.
Dr. Makarewicz then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida and received his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic. He successfully passed all four parts of board certification from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is currently licensed in the state of Florida.
Dr. Makarewicz has continued his education through additional coursework in neurology and electrodiagnostic testing. He is certified to perform and interpret nerve conduction velocity (NCV) and needle electromyography (EMG) which is used in the diagnosis of nerve related disorders.
Truly dedicated to lifelong education, Dr. Makarewicz has previously served as an adjunct professor of anatomy & physiology at the College of Central Florida.
As an Ironman triathlete, surfer, and outdoorsman, Dr. Makarewicz is committed to an active lifestyle balancing overall health, fitness and nutrition.
He actively participates in community events, health talks, triathlons, and the occasional “board meeting” when the waves are just right.
Dr. Makarewicz resides in Ocala, Florida with his wife and three daughters.
